Randall Pattern Play is shortlisted for AJ Small Projects Award 2026

Randall Pattern Play, a public artwork, has been shortlisted for the Architects’ Journal Small Projects 2026.

Selected as one of just twenty projects under £399k, the shortlist is a powerful reminder that small budgets don’t mean small ideas-if anything, they demand greater clarity and ambition.

The project introduces an ‘outdoor living room’ within a council-led housing development, creating a shared space for identity, connection, and everyday life.

It is featured in a special edition of the Architects’ Journal, with the shortlisted projects exhibited from April-May 2026 at the Liverpool University School of Architecture.
