Published in conjunction with the International Brick Award, the book presents the winning and shortlisted projects from the 2026 edition, bringing together an exceptional collection of contemporary brick architecture from around the world. Featured practices include KENGO KUMA & ASSOCIATES, Mecanoo, KPF, and many others at the forefront of architectural innovation.

As both an author and a member of the Brick Award 2026 pre-jury, Maria contributed approximately one-third of the publication's texts while also participating in the selection of the shortlisted projects from a total of 849 international submissions.

Produced biennially by Brick Award and Wienerberger, the publication serves as a valuable reference for architects, designers, and students, showcasing exemplary projects that demonstrate the versatility, beauty, and enduring potential of fired clay as a primary building material.
