Folia sculpture series

Conceived as part of a larger panel, Folia draws on the foliage of garden grottos, historic architectural ornament and abstract motifs. Natural forms merge, creating a sculptural relief in which ornament becomes structure. The transformations that occur during drying and firing allow the material and making process to shape the final form.

Presented together, individual Folium sculptures extend the language of the Folia series into a larger composition. Each piece retains its own sculptural identity while contributing to a shifting, continuous pattern.
